Depp Mania

Johnny Depp is about to have his hands really full. The versatile, and slightly-odd actor has added another three high profile films to his already busy work schedule. First up, Depp is slotted to play the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland", which will make this the 7th collaboration between the actor and director. After which, Depp will head into shooting Disney's release of "The Lone Ranger" as the sidekick Tonto (unless you have a better actor than Depp as the Lone Ranger, he's stealing the show) which will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean). And speaking of Bruckheimer and Pirates, there is a nod towards possibly releasing a fourth installment of POTC. So if you haven't gotten your fill of Johnny Depp's odd characters, have no fear... there are plenty more coming "and you can take that to the bank."

Wilson, Ribisi porn movie

Despite the title, this isn't what you may fear. Luke Wilson and Giovanni Ribisi are set to tell the story of Jack Harris, the man who saw the potential of internet porn, his partners, and the roller-coaster effect it has on their lives. Written by Andy Weiss and George Gallo and directed by Gallo, Middle Men is set to be released in May 2009.

Live Dominance

Connecticut metal band Hatebreed has the #1 music DVD in the nation right now. "Live Dominance" is Hatebreed's first ever full concert DVD and debuted at the number one spot on Billboard's DVD music list. Hatebreed, who just finished up their Live Dominance Tour with bands like "Catalepsy", War of Ages, Soilent Green and Emmure are taking some time off the road in order to start recording their new album.

"In a world..." without Don LaFontaine

Best known as the "Voice-over guy" from movie trailers, and most predominately known for the phrase "In a world where...." Don LaFontaine passed away Monday of complications from a lung-related illness. While the industry now uses others to imitate LaFontaine's work... none will ever quite be as well remembered as Don.

Bruce Wayne's Riches...

As of yesterday, "The Dark Knight" has become the second movie in history to gross more than $500,000,000 (yes, you are reading that as $500 million...just wanted to emphasize the zeroes). And while it's still not fully expected to beat Titanic, the Bat is breaking records by reaching it's current mark in only six weeks... half the time it took Titanic. So now the question remains... will fanboys be enough to dethrone tween girls wooing over Leonardo DiCaprio. Let us certainly hope so.
