Phoenix Call's it "Quits"

Apparently Joaquin Phoenix is retiring from acting. The 34-year old actor whose roles in Gladiator (2000) and Walk the Line (2005) were quite possibly his best, is looking to put acting behind him and pursue a career in music. Phoenix got his taste for music in his portrayal of music legend Johnny Cash (who personally selected the actor) in Walk the Line and apparently is already working on his first album.

Gran Torino

This December, Clint Eastwood is back! In the actor/director's newest film, Eastwood plays a disgruntled Korean War vet (that's a stretch) whose new neighbors are... wait for it... Asian! Whoo... It's amazing. Despite the stereotypical feel this somewhat seems to have, the movie still presents the original badass Clint Eastwood - albeit a few decades older. Reports have been circulating that the actor was taken away on an "Involuntary Psychiatric Hold" also known by the police code 5150 after someone in his family called the police. However, Madsen's rep debunks these claims saying the actor was suffering from exhaustion and food poisoning after returning from his overseas filming, but is now recovering with his family by his side.

IM2 - Swap a surprise

Terrence Howard, who played LTC Jim Rhodes in Iron Man, claims that he was unprepared for Marvel to release him from the movie and sign Don Cheadle as the next War Machine. Howard, who like Downey Jr. and Paltrow were contracted to be in the second film, was released because Marvel apparently couldn't come to terms over the finances.

Lindsay Lohan - Felon?

Lindsay Lohan is being sued by the three people who were in the car she allegedly carjacked in July 2007 while under the influence of cocaine and having a BAC of .08 as well. The three people claim that Lohan was reckless, speeding through red lights and saying she could get away with it because she was a celebrity, as if that justified everything. However Lohan's reps claim that the other three people in the car were "having the time of their lives."
